What do ICT Directors need to know about Human Resources Management? That is the issue that Sharon Kotut, Head of HR Maersk (UAE, Oman & Qatar) addressed as a guest speaker to MSc ITM students on March 25, 2021. This seasoned HR specialist, an alumnus of University of Nairobi, presented the Leadership Toolkit for Future ICT Directors that addressed such issues as how to attract, inspire, build trust and develop the ICT talent for optimum performance. The ICT Director will be the strategic partner, change agent, administrative expert and employee champion for all employee in the department. This guest lecture is in line with the university strategic plan, performance contract, the curriculum and best practice worldwide.
