Wednesday's meet-up for software development skills

For the past two months, we have been doing what we have dubbed as ‘The web series ’.The aim was to reach out to as many students in the school who expressed interest in learning web design. Most importantly, we did this to help prepare our first and second year students, who will be required to do projects at the end of their second year of study.

On Wednesday 6Th November, our very own Mike Farad took us through CSS grid. CSS Grid is a powerful tool that allows for two-dimensional layouts to be created on the web. He believes that everyone can be a front-end developer and CSS grid is a tool that making that possible we are currently using the project-model approach for learning and instructing. During this session, the aim was to design a to-do list .We had students do as instructed and the facilitators assisting those who’d get stuck.

We aim at being able to reach more students and equipping them with the necessary skills.
