On March 17, 2023, Filecoin Orbit Kenya and GDSC UoN hosted an Open Hack Day focused on the Filecoin Virtual Machine (FVM). The event aimed to promote the use of Filecoin's decentralized data storage marketplace, protocol, and cryptocurrency to make the web more secure and efficient.
The hackathon was open to everyone, including students, developers, and blockchain enthusiasts. The event had 6000 USD in prizes, which were distributed among the winning teams.
