TECHNOVATION 2020

Technovataion girls is an international competition for high school girls being run in Kenya by the Safaricom women in tech .It aims at giving high school  girls a platform to showcase their problem-solving skills and to enhance their innovativeness .In teams of about 5,the girls identify a problem in their immediate environment and come up with a mobile-based application that solve  the problem.

School of computing and informatics student wins Huawei Networks award 2019

Maluki Muthusi, a 3rd year student from SCI, has bagged the Huawei Network Cloud Track Award 2019. The awards were presented at the Huawei ICT Competition 2019-2020 Kenya Award Ceremony presided over by Principal Secretary for ICT, Jerome Ochieng at the Radisson Blu Hotel on December 16, 2019.

Android basics Boot-camp

Android developers, Juma Allan and Harun Mwangereka who are also part of Android 254 team took the school of computing students through a session on Android basics. They covered a wide range of topics that one must know about Android before learning how to build mobile apps . 

The session was really informative and the facilitators also sponsored 5 students to attend the droidconKe conference next year. This is the largest conference  in subsaharan Africa that brings together Android developers from all over .
